Screaming Goats

screaming goat
A little quickie of my new hero (google ‘screaming goats’ before it turns into a sex thing and you will be happy you did). I am pretty sure he(she) had an eye poked out… if not, I make no apologies. It adds character.

Regal Legal Beagles

beagles
These are some beagles on a milk can, step by step. In my last tweaks I will have to scale back the vibrancy of the color just a touch and work the feet and faces, but this is where the internet gets to see it.

Puppy Post

Puppy Milk Can
Some significant progress today on one of the milk cans I received during a time when the weather was warm and the bugs were thick. The process starts with some lines, chunks of color, and details keep piling on and on. Probably a few more tweaks to go – some highlights, shadows and what have you – but it’s postable!

Squirrelmas

squirrel
Or Squirrel + [other holiday-specific ending]. I was raised with Christmas, I call it Christmas. Feel free to say Squirrelkah or Squirrelzaa, I don’t care. The point is, it’s a hilarious squirrel offering you an acorn in the spirit of giving. Don’t get too excited, though, he may chew through that string of lights shortly after this moment.

Elementally Elementary

It's Elementary.
Playing with vellum and thin layers of acrylics to see if I can rustle some translucency out of the finished set of images. I placed three animals in each panel in permanent marker because I can’t cover up the lines with paint unless it’s crazy thick. I am stuck with my composition and my challenge for myself is to try and get more abstract and interesting from there with color and texture, further enhancing the respective “element” of each panel – air, fire, earth and water. Tentative completion date is to be determined.
